 Scouts Mellerary Weekend Oct ' 04

22nd - 24th October 2004 will see the Cahir scout troop join over 100 scouts from the Cois tSiuire County for their annual Mellerary Fun Weekend!

 Scouting Ireland Emblem National Council October ' 04

 

The new Scouting Ireland Emblem

This emblem was voted on at National Council on Sunday 17th October, as the New Emblem of Scouting Ireland.

The motion was strongly rejected.  So we have to wait another year to vote on another emblem!

 

 Scouting Ireland Uniform Oct ' 04

Scouting Ireland's Proposed New Uniform for Beavers / Cubs / Scouts / Venturers / Leaders was passed at National Council on Sunday 17th October 2004. It is available to view on Scouting Ireland's Website follow the Link to view the Uniforms.

These uniforms are expected to be in the Scout Shops by the middle of 2005.

 Venturer Survival Challenge Oct' 04

On the weekend of the 9th and 10th of October a team of  five  Venturers and  Three Leaders took part in the Venturers National Survival Challenge in the Galty Mountains.This event attracted Teams from Dublin, Cork,

 Scouts Bivvy Out October '04

Saturday night 9th October 2004, saw the scout troop bivvy out at the reservoir, Scouts and Leaders assembled at 5pm, they started building their shelters, before cooking and going on a night hike.
Little sleep was got by anyone, but I beleive things were quit for a few hours around 4am?
